Frequently Asked Questions
Complete dentures are used for replacing an entire set of teeth. They use a flesh-coloured acrylic base that covers the gums and part of the mouth, allowing an entire set of false teeth to sit firmly and comfortably. A set for the upper jaw will cover the roof of the mouth, while the lower jaw set will be horseshoe shaped to avoid covering the tongue. The standard dentures are completely removable.
Partial dentures consist of artificial teeth attached to a base placed in the area of your mouth that is missing one or more teeth. These dentures are used when a bridge does not seem to be a suitable option. The gaps between your teeth are filled with replacement teeth attached to a pink plastic base to apply partial dentures.
Immediate dentures are dentures that are inserted directly after tooth extraction. They help you avoid going without teeth during post-operative healing. The denturist takes an impression before extraction to create working models, and the dentures are placed when natural teeth are extracted.
A denture reline is a dental process that involves adding a new pink base material to the tissue side of any denture. The service helps in making the denture fit perfectly. Denture relines become necessary when you face tissue changes due to resorption (shrinkage).
Signs that indicate you need a denture reline include: dentures feel loose, food gets accumulated under the denture, experiencing more sore areas than usual, and air feels trapped under the denture.
Denture implants restore your smile to its natural state, provide a replacement for jawbone, and offer a solution for all missing teeth. They are surgically placed in the jawline and securely anchored, giving patients a stable and functional replacement.
Removable denture implants use implants to keep dentures in place but can be taken out for easier cleaning. They are economical, easy to clean, provide additional facial support, and last anywhere from 10 to 20 years.
We offer sports mouthguards and night guards. Sports mouthguards protect teeth during sports, and night guards prevent damage from teeth grinding or clenching (bruxism). Both are custom-fitted.
During your visit, our denturist will check for signs of broken teeth, examine your oral health, and examine the condition of your denture. The examination includes updating your dental and medical history, discussing options, intra-oral examination, checking aesthetics, stability and bite, checking denture integrity, reviewing oral hygiene, and cleaning/polishing if required.
Yes, we offer direct billing to make it easier for you to pay for your dentures. We take all insurance and government programs, and offer 100% coverage for veterans and social services.
