I strongly believe in preventive dentistry while building long-term relationships with my patients, and encouraging them to become informed participants in their oral health care. I was born and raised in India. In 2012 I completed the Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Faculty of Dental Sciences at Dharmsinh Desai University. I studied dental hygiene in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and obtained my license to practice dentistry in 2016. I am fluent in Gujrati and Hindi, and understand Punjabi.

Dr. Pooja Thumar is a 2012 graduate of Dharmsinh Desai University in Gujarat, India. After graduation, she gave back a year at her local community dental hospital in Gujarat. She began her Canadian journey in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She completed the National Dental Examination Board of Canada equivalency and obtained her license to practice dentistry in 2019. Dr. Thumar enjoys general dentistry, including Botox, focusing on aesthetic and cosmetic procedures. She always seeks to further her skills and education by participating in various continuing education courses and seminars. Dr. Thumar is an outdoor enthusiast and avid traveller. You can find her painting, sketching, and hiking in her free time.

Dr. Hemang Patel is a University of Alberta graduate, Dental class of 2017. His journey in Dentistry started in India, where he was born and raised. He graduated from RGUHS with a Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery in 2008. After graduation, he had a private practice for four years in which he had the privilege of treating a wide array of patients. Dr. Patel moved to Canada in 2012 and completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery Program at the University of Alberta in 2017. Dentistry is not just a profession for Dr. Patel; it is his passion- something he enjoys doing. He provides comprehensive dental care of the highest quality and integrity. He strives to ensure that all his patients experience dental visits tailored to their unique needs by making dental visits comfortable and anxiety-free. He tries to keep up with the profession by attending various CE courses and conferences. Dr. Patel fluently speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. He is married and has two adorable girls. Outside the clinic, he likes to be with his family, travel, read, cook and try out new cuisines.

Dr. Divyakshi Patel was born and raised in India. Her dentistry journey started in India, where she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007 from GDCH. After practicing for five years in India, Dr. Patel moved to Canada in 2012. She attended the University of Alberta and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2019. After graduation, she practiced in Edmonton but now calls Calgary her home. Dr. Patel shows dedication while providing quality dental care for all her patients and taking the time to answer any questions or concerns they may have. She is committed to building solid relationships with her patients and is excited to get to know our cUsmile Family of clients. She keeps up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry by attending various webinars and continuing education courses. Dr. Patel is married and has two beautiful girls who keep her busy while not practicing dentistry. She likes to travel, enjoys reading and cooks a variety of cuisines at home.
