Frequently Asked Questions
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) has been introduced by the Federal Government to enhance dental care accessibility for all Canadians.
To see if you qualify for the CDCP, visit the Government of Canada website. Once you confirm your eligibility, you can apply for the plan. After your application is processed, you will receive a welcome package from Sun Life, the administrator of the CDCP. With this package, you can book your appointment at Ball Family Dental by calling or texting 825-300-0049 or send us an email to [email protected].
While this program offers excellent support, it does not cover 100% of all services. A copay may apply for any services that exceed the program's fee guide, but we will guide you through every step and address any questions you may have.
If you want to know in advance how much of your treatment will be covered by the CDCP, and what your out-of-pocket expenses will be, we recommend calling us before your appointment. We'll ask for your member ID number (found in your welcome package) to confirm your coverage details for your peace of mind.
Currently, other Alberta government dental plans are not coordinated with the CDCP. If you qualify for the CDCP, opting to use it will result in no secondary coverage from another provincial plan. Additionally, if you have coverage from a private plan, you will not be eligible for the CDCP at this time.
