Dr. Nichols was born and raised in Yorkton, SK. In 2004 he completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. This is also where he met his future wife, Lisa. Upon graduation, Dr. Nichols and Lisa moved to Medicine Hat to start their careers. Dr. Nichols has been serving the community of Medicine Hat and the surrounding area for more than 18 years. He is proud to call the city home and raise his children here. In his free time, Dr. Nichols enjoys sports, reading, golf and cooking, but his main pastime is chauffeuring his two very active daughters to their many activities, and he wouldn’t trade it for anything. Dr. Nichols is thankful for his patients, hardworking team and the community, that have helped support and build his practice over the last two decades. He looks forward to serving his patients at Crestwood Dental for many more years.

Dr. Adebayo (Bayo) Ibikunle graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 2025. Prior to this, he had practiced dentistry in Nigeria for several years after graduating from the University of Ibadan in 2006. Dr. Bayo is one who believes strongly in patient-centered care, patient empowerment, lifelong learning, and clinical excellence. He is an astute patient advocate, communicator, and collaborator. He has led several oral health interventions aimed at reaching underserved communities in various geographical jurisdictions. Having been in the dental chair as a patient on multiple occasions himself, he intentionally works to improve patient experiences, promoting an atmosphere that fosters trust and enhances positive patient outcomes. During his free time, he loves playing soccer, badminton, chess, and Scrabble. Additionally, he loves spending time with his family. Exquisite oral healthcare requires teamwork, and Dr. Bayo looks forward to working with you as you pursue your oral health goals.

Dr. Nihar Shah earned his dental degree in India before completing advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After several years of clinical practice, he moved to Canada and successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada certification process. He is proud to provide comprehensive dental care with a commitment to delivering honest, high-quality, and patient-centred treatment. Dr. Shah enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in surgical extractions, dental implants, root canal therapy, crowns, and restorative dentistry. He believes every patient deserves personalized care and takes the time to understand each individual’s concerns, explain treatment options clearly, and help patients make informed decisions about their oral health. His calm and friendly approach helps patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental experience. Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Shah regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry. His advanced surgical training and broad clinical experience allow him to provide a wide range of treatment while always prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and long-term oral health. Outside the clinic, Dr. Shah is passionate about giving back to the dental profession. He volunteers his time mentoring internationally trained dentists, helping them navigate the Canadian licensing process and supporting the development of their clinical skills as they begin their professional careers in Canada. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, Dr. Shah enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds and creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels respected, heard, and cared for. When he isn’t practicing dentistry, Dr. Shah enjoys hiking, travelling, and discovering great films. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and helping individuals and families in the Medicine Hat community achieve healthy, confident smiles for years to come.

Dr. Leo S. Rotband graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in Brazil in 2000 and practiced dentistry for many years before relocating to Canada. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning and a commitment to providing the highest standard of patient care, he successfully completed the International Dentist Degree Program at the University of Manitoba, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Leo also practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 10 years in Canada. This experience strengthened his preventive approach to oral health and further reinforced his commitment to patient education and comprehensive care. Dr. Leo enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in restorative dentistry and endodontics. He believes that excellent dentistry begins with listening to patients, understanding their concerns, and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. His calm and gentle approach helps patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental experience. Committed to professional growth, Dr. Leo regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies, ensuring his patients receive modern, evidence-based care. Outside the clinic, Dr. Leo enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons. He also enjoys photography, fishing, and family travel. He is excited to be part of the Crestwood Dental team and looks forward to caring for the patients and families of Medicine Hat and the surrounding communities for many years to come. Dr. Leo is also pleased to provide dental care in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish.
