At Gasoline Alley Dental, we believe in preventative dentistry and like to see our patients at least once a year for dental cleanings and a routine dental exam with x-rays. The Alberta Dental Association & College recommends visiting your dentist every six months. We encourage all patients to come twice a year for regular cleanings to keep gums and teeth healthy.
Yes, we can direct bill to the majority of Canadian insurance providers. We ask that you become familiar with the basics of what your dental insurance plan covers. Our front office staff can also submit predeterminations to your insurance carrier to find out approximate coverage.
Dr. Wilson says, 'If you have any concerns about their gums or teeth we can see them at any age. But it can be useful for them to come with you to your appointments so they get accustomed to the clinic environment. They can begin coming for regular check ups and cleans as early as 3 years old.'
If there is not a specific concern or treatment desired, we start our youngest patients off with a no-charge Happy Visit. This is a chance for young kids to sit in the dental chair, meet Dr. Wilson and our staff, have their teeth counted, and get comfortable with the dental environment.
