The Canadian Dental Care Plan is designed to be accessible and affordable offering oral health care for many people in Red Deer and Central Alberta who are eligible for the plan. Qualifications: Must be a Canadian resident for tax purposes, have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000, do not have access to dental insurance through an employer, pension-sponsored or private dental insurance, and have filed your tax return in the previous year.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers a wide range of services available at Dr. Rogers office. With the plan you will be able to improve your oral health and reduce the risk of disease and decay with preventative services such as cleaning (scaling), sealants and fluoride. Available services include: Diagnostic services, including examinations and x-rays; Restorative services, including fillings; Endodontic services, including root canal treatments; Prosthodontic services, including complete dentures and partial removable dentures; Periodontal services, including deep scaling. Some services will require preauthorization.
Upon your first call to the office you can let us know what your needs are so we can provide a suitable appointment to look after you. Whether you want a full exam and cleaning or you have something more specific such as a toothache that needs to be looked after right way, we will accommodate you as quickly as possible. We always ask that you arrive a few minutes early to complete your forms and to give us time to answer any questions you may have prior to being seen by Dr. Rogers.
Dr. Rogers can offer patients Sedation Dentistry in Red Deer for those who require its calming effects to subdue dental office anxieties. Nitrous Oxide is analgesia gas which can greatly reduce fear and anxiety, relaxing the patient and can make for a less stressful visit to the dentist office.

Each case is unique, however the approximate time for treatment with adults is one year while the length of treatment for teenagers is similar to braces.

Root canals generally take one or two visits with Dr. Rogers and may require some additional restoration work such as a dental crown or inlay / onlay because root-treated teeth are in fact dead and weaker than living teeth.
