The CDCP is a government-supported initiative designed to make dental care more accessible and affordable for eligible Canadians. It provides financial assistance to families and people who might otherwise face barriers to getting dental treatments.
The CDCP is designed to support Canadians who have a household income under $90,000, do not have access to any other dental insurance, and have filed their federal tax returns in Canada.
The CDCP covers a portion of the cost for a wide range of essential dental services including routine exams, cleanings, X-rays, preventive treatments, certain oral surgery procedures, basic restorative care, emergency procedures, periodontal services, and root canal therapy.
The CDCP reimburses your dentist for a portion of the cost. You will be responsible for a co-pay. For incomes under $70,000, CDCP covers 100% of the cost at the established fee. Between $70,000 and $79,999, CDCP covers 60% and you cover 40%. Between $80,000 and $89,999, CDCP covers 40% and you cover 60%.
Guided Biofilm Therapy is a professional cleaning method that uses a disclosing agent to highlight plaque, air polishing to gently clean, and ultrasonic tools to remove hardened deposits. It provides a more comfortable and effective cleaning experience.

A dental crown is a protective cap for a tooth that's been cracked, chipped, or weakened. It's custom-made to fit over your natural tooth, restoring its strength, shape, and appearance.
A dental bridge is a restorative dental solution used to bridge the gap created by missing teeth. It can be secured using crowns or implants.
A dental implant is an artificial replacement for the root of a natural tooth. It is used together with a crown or bridge to replace one or more teeth and restore function, health, and appearance.
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses clear, removable aligners to gently shift your teeth into a new alignment. Aligners should be worn for at least 22 hours a day.
A root canal treatment helps to restore or save a tooth that has become inflamed or infected. The dentist removes the affected pulp, then fills and seals the tooth.
Sedation dentistry involves the use of medication or other techniques to help patients relax during dental procedures. Options include oral sedation, nitrous oxide, and IV sedation.
Veneers are thin shells made of specialized materials that are permanently bonded to the front of your teeth. They are used to improve the appearance of teeth that are broken, stained, or smaller than desired.
TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint, the joint that connects your jawbone to your skull. TMJ disorder (TMD) can cause pain, headaches, and difficulty opening or closing your mouth.
