Although each child is different, we typically recommend bringing your child for their first dental appointment at one to two years old. And, bring them with you when you come to the dentist - this gives them the opportunity to get to know us before it's their turn for a visit - and definitely before they are feeling pain or discomfort.

For kids, depending on their age, we recommend exams and cleanings every six months - more frequently than adults, as their developing teeth change a lot in their formative years, and are more prone to cavities. For adults, we assess your gums and teeth and make recommendations based on your present condition. Exams should happen at least once yearly for adults.

Our patients are sometimes surprised when we discuss their gums, face, jaw and surrounding structures. You will also receive a free oral health cancer screening and a review of your overall oral health.
