Root canal therapy is offered when nerves inside teeth are dying, dead, or infected, usually causing severe toothache. The procedure involves cleaning out dead tissue, filling the spaces with a rubbery material to seal canals. Most teeth that have had root canal therapy will require a crown afterward to prevent cracking or breaking.

The dentist and hygienists examine gums and determine the appropriate level of cleaning. Patients who haven't had a cleaning in years may require a deeper cleaning, sometimes with local anesthetic. Optional fluoride treatment is provided, which is important as Calgary stopped adding fluoride to tap water in 2011.

Dr. Mathew offers orthodontic treatment to correct simple to moderate crowding with clear (practically invisible) aligners.

Dr. Mathew has performed wisdom tooth removal and tooth removal for over 24 years with general anesthesia. They use an outpatient surgical facility with a certified anesthesiologist for apprehensive patients or complex surgical treatments. The facility is accredited by Alberta Health Services.

When a tooth is compromised by decay, the decayed structure is removed and a filling restores the tooth. They offer composite, amalgam, gold, and porcelain onlays/inlays, with details on each type's benefits and drawbacks.

Dental implants are titanium posts placed into the jaw where a tooth is missing. They serve as anchors to replace missing teeth, and even someone with no teeth can have them all replaced with implants.

Oral surgery for tooth extractions and surgical treatment of jaw bone problems. They offer extractions of all types, from simple to complex including wisdom teeth. For complex extractions or apprehensive patients, general anesthesia is available.

They are happy to see children starting at approximately 3 years of age for general check-ups. Services include oral hygiene instruction, polishing of baby teeth, cavity prevention sealants, and referrals to orthodontists. For very apprehensive children, general anesthesia is available.

For all new patients, a thorough examination is performed including digital x-rays and intra oral cameras. The x-rays help see inside jawbones and teeth, and intra oral cameras display teeth and gums on a large screen for better understanding of treatment options. Patients with specific concerns can have an examination of that area only.

They offer porcelain veneers and crowns to fix minor misalignment, color problems, broken or worn front teeth. Crowns are available in ceramic, gold, or a blend. Bridges are permanently cemented for missing teeth. Tooth-whitening service includes custom trays made from molds; whitening only affects natural teeth, not crowns or fillings.

They offer custom-made sport mouth guards for all sports, grinding appliances to minimize damage from night grinding, and appliances to minimize snoring (sleep apnea).
